The nominees for the 43rd annual NAACP Image Awards were announced today with Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Cee Lo Green, Mary J. Blige, Jil Scott and Jennifer Hudson all scoring multiple nominations in the music categories. Although the award show traditionally acknowledges “the accomplishments of people of color,” Adele received two noms for Outstanding Song and Outstanding Music Video.

Pop music reigns supreme on the year-end sales charts with a few appearances from hip-hop/R&B artists. Adele pops a squat at the top of both album and digital downloads chart with 5.82 million copies sold of 21 and 5.81 copies sold of “Rolling In The Deep.”
