Beyoncé unceremoniously released a track on her official site. “Bow Down/I Been On” finds B returning to her Houston roots by adapting the ever popular chopped and screwed sound.
Mrs. Carter lets it be known who runs the show singing, “I took some time to live my life, but don’t think I’m just his little wife… this my shit!” The digital-sounding Hit-Boy produced track them segues into “I Been On” which is said to be have been produced by Timbaland, Planet VI, and Polow Da Don.
Beyoncé’s cocky lyrics and Houston-influenced delivery are surely enough to get the Beyhive buzzing.
With no album or official first single in sight, Beyoncé continues to book stages around the world. It has been revealed that King B will be teaming up with Gucci to headline their Sound of Change concert. Taking place in London on June 1st, the concert will be broadcast internationally and include performances from Florence + The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, Timbaland, and Rita Ora with more performers expected to be confirmed.
Beyoncé is also billed at the program’s Artistic Director… whatever that means. “Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible,” said Beyonce. “I am excited for us to come together on June 1 to bring the issues of education, health and justice for girls and women to the world stage.”
Tickets for the event will go on sale on tomorrow (March 27) on the Chime For Change website.
