The 11th Annual BMI Urban Awards were handed out last night with Drake earning the top honor – Songwriter of the Year. One of the highlights of the show was a tribute to legendary rapper Snoop Dogg, who was presented with the BMI Icon Award. Performing some of his classic numbers were: Wiz Khalifa – “Nothin’ But a G Thang,” The Game – “Murder Was The Case,” and Kurupt with Nas and Daz Dillinger – “The Next Episode.”
